Awesome Appalachian Hikes- Craggy Pinnacle, NC

One of our favorite things about Appalachia is the strong sense of community that exists here. We're all on the same team and we're all working together to improve this region that we love so much.

To help foster that sense of community, we started a "Hike of the Week" series for our email newsletter where we here from people around the region about trails that they've been on and trails they've enjoyed. It's a great way to learn more about all the beautiful places that exist in Appalachia from the people who have already been there.

Our first contributor to this hiking series was Noah Ingle. He sent us some pictures and told us about his hike at Craggy Pinnacle, North Carolina. Here's what he had to say about it:

Taking pictures at Craggy Pinnacle, NC

Craggy Pinnacle is a great sight to see just outside of Asheville, NC! I went up there with a few friends this past fall and it was a really enjoyable, short, and easy hike to end the day on. If you have time, definitely check out the Craggy Gardens trail that is just down the road from this one. It is more of a moderate/longer trail but the views of each are very unique. These two are must-sees!

Hike Details

The trail can be found in Ivy, North Carolina which is right outside Asheville. It's a 1.4 mile out-and-back trail that's pretty easy for most people. You'll experience a 5,892 foot elevation at the summit, so the view is great.

The photos that Noah submitted are incredible. We're so fortunate to live within driving distance of so many beautiful landscapes. Some of the pictures remind me of the scene from our Almost Heaven t-shirt. Views like these are constantly inspiring our latest designs, and the adventures to reach them influence all the products that we make.
